What a find is worth
Live means you pointed your phone camera at it and took the shot there and then. That is worth double an import, meaning a photo you already had and brought in afterwards, because a live capture is the one that carries a real time and place. Your very first find ever gets an extra multiple on top.

An event species pays its flat reward instead of the usual maths, and earns no Regional First or Pioneer.
⌛ This total is not credited to your account until the find is verified. Most finds are verified the moment you log them, so it usually lands straight away. If yours needs a closer look the XP sits and waits until it clears, and a find that turns out not to be a wild species never counts at all. The 50 for logging it is the one exception and is yours immediately.

Your streak needs a find every day. Hold cover and the next day you miss is covered automatically, so it will not end your run. You do not have to pick the day.
Your first change is free. After that it costs, because your name is signed on every find you have made.
How you earn them
Every level you reach pays a bug. Keep finding and they keep coming.
Ranks are the levels that change what you are called, and each one pays bugs on top of the level itself. Drop the last digit of the level and that is what it pays, so Tracker at 10 pays 1 and Wild Sage at 95 pays 9. Nothing below level 10. Guardian of the Wild at 99 pays 99, because it is the last one there is.
A day held every day for a week. Cover counts.
A month without missing a day.
One hundred days in a row. Hardly anyone gets this far.
A whole year without missing a day. The biggest prize there is, and almost nobody will ever claim it.
